David DJ'DeJesus
Independent Write-in Candidate for FLorida Governor. Write in DJ
Veteran and US Army Reserve Officer
Florida deserves more than partisan political and culture wars. We need a bold, practical vision that lowers costs today while investing in tomorrow’s prosperity.
Our state needs leadership focused on real problems: rising living costs, crowded roads, healthcare access, consumer protection, and preparing our workforce for the future. My plan offers practical solutions to improve infrastructure, expand opportunity, protect consumers, and make government work for the people.
Florida must also be a place where differences are tolerated and respected. Progress requires cooperation, not division.
As an independent candidate for Governor, I answer to no political party, no donors, and no special interests—only to the people of Florida. Free from partisan pressure and political influence, I will make decisions based solely on what strengthens our state and improves the lives of Floridians.
This independence allows me to pursue the following agenda:
1. Smarter Roads, Safer Commutes
Florida must build the infrastructure necessary for a growing population and economy. My goal is to position Florida with the best infrastructure and the safest, most disciplined drivers in the nation by 2035.
Key initiatives include:
Massive and major infrastructure investments to reduce congestion, eliminate chronic rush-hour bottlenecks, and accommodate the volume of vehicles on the road by 2035.
Expansion and modernization of airports and seaports to support tourism and trade.
AI-assisted traffic management systems to improve traffic flow statewide.
Strict enforcement of traffic laws—including signaling requirements and bans on texting while driving—with a portion of fines dedicated to retirement benefits for law enforcement and first responders.
Enhanced penalties for drivers who cause accidents during declared rush hours and park in fire zones.
Establishing the long-term funding and planning for a statewide high-speed rail system connecting major cities, suburban communities, beaches, and airports.
Expanded roadside cleanup initiatives to keep Florida’s highways clean and beautiful.
2. Affordable Living
Floridians deserve relief from rising costs.
My administration will pursue policies to lower everyday expenses and improve affordability:
Establish a state-sponsored car insurance company to compete with private insurers and help stabilize premiums.
Encourage food producers and agricultural companies to invest in Florida to reduce grocery prices and improve supply chains.
Expand affordable housing development and address excessive rent increases.
Support greenhouse agriculture programs to increase local food production.
Enact laws to combat excessive price inflation and deceptive practices in vehicle repair shops, airport concessions, and other high-cost services.
Address the high cost of childcare and provide more financial support to parents.
Introduce The Cascading Financing Model (CFM) to Floridians (www.Tekfinn.net) to save on loan interest.
Florida must prepare students for the industries of tomorrow. Key priorities include:
Expanding Bright Futures scholarships to support vocational and technical programs at state universities and colleges.
Investing in public school infrastructure, personnel and modern STEM curricula.
Transforming Florida’s universities into global innovation hubs by attracting research investment and partnerships in:
Artificial Intelligence
Future energy technologies such as fusion energy
Renewable and alternative energy systems and sources
Adress the quality of education in all levels.
Quality healthcare must be accessible and affordable. My administration will:
Increase price transparency to encourage competition and reduce healthcare costs.
Mandate adequate staffing in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Require newly graduated nurses to serve a period in hospital and healthcare settings before pursuing advanced degrees to strengthen frontline care.
Combat fraud within disability programs to ensure resources go to those who truly need them.
Promote statewide initiatives focused on nutrition, wellness, and preventive care.
Address the quality of healthcare, efficiency, and healthcare costs with the state's public and privated big healthcare systems.
5. Consumer Protection, Transparency, and Professional Accountability
Floridians deserve fair treatment in the marketplace. My administration will:
Strengthen consumer protection laws and expand transparency requirements in billing and services.
Establish a powerful State Consumer Protection Agency to investigate fraud and deceptive business practices.
Create a consumer court to resolve disputes quickly and fairly.
Enforce strict professional accountability for licensed professionals—including attorneys who violate ethical standards or defy court orders.
Travel within Florida should not involve excessive or hidden costs. Key initiatives include:
Working with airport authorities to limit excessive food and beverage prices.
Implementing price transparency requirements for commonly purchased airport items.
Encouraging competitive vendor bidding to prevent monopolistic pricing.
Partnering with local businesses to offer affordable options inside airports.
Establishing a traveler price monitoring system under the state consumer agency.
Work with companies to lower the cost of visiting Florida's tourist attractions and encourage both local and foreign visitors.
Government must be effective, transparent, and responsible with taxpayer money.
My administration will:
Reform to reduce bureaucracy and streamline government processes to reduce costs and fees for the public.
Increase transparency and accountability across all state departments.
Aggressively pursue corruption and misconduct by public officials.
Implement measures to reform the State government departments and institute efficiency.
Florida’s growth places pressure on infrastructure, schools, and public services.
To support these needs, I propose:
A temporary 5% State income tax for new residents during their first five years in Florida, helping fund infrastructure and education while protecting long-time residents from additional tax burdens.
9. Clean Energy and Innovation
Florida must lead in energy innovation while keeping power affordable.
My plan includes:
Expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure in conjunction with the Federal program NEVI (National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure)
Creating a business-friendly environment for technology startups and global investors to invest in alternative power sources to create industries and jobs.
Encouraging clean transportation and energy innovation to reduce emissions.
Introducing The Cascading Financing Model (CFM) for electric vehicle and alternative power source purchases.
Immigration policy must be addressed realistically and constructively.
I will advocate for a national solution that:
Recognizes the practical limits of large-scale deportation policies.
Encourages bipartisan compromise in Congress to establish durable immigration laws.
Replaces temporary executive actions with long-term legislative solutions.
To prepare Florida for the future, we must invest wisely today to get ahead of spiking energy demands and costs.
Key initiatives include:
Expanding energy generation capacity to prevent rising electricity costs and demand from the electric grid through alternative power sources like solar panels.
Incentivizing residential and commercial solar adoption through streamlined permitting and financing.
Supporting electric vehicle adoption and charging infrastructure.
Investing in fusion energy research as a long-term energy solution.
Encouraging entrepreneurship and business innovation.
Expanding desalination plants programs statewide as insurance for drought.
Floridians deserve safe communities.
My administration will:
Strengthen, enforce and propose common-sense gun safety laws.
Expand drug enforcement efforts and aggressively target drug traffickers and cartels operating within the state.
Support additional law enforcement tools to prevent mass and random shootings.
Expand social programs in conjunction with NGOs to address homelessness, panhandling, and drug addiction.
Expand the role of the state cyber security agencies to help protect the public from cyber threats.
Florida’s natural beauty is one of our greatest assets.
My plan includes:
Expanded cleanup programs for roads, beaches, and state parks.
Stronger environmental protections for clean air and water.
Vehicle inspections for older high-polluting vehicles.
Incentives for electric vehicles and cleaner transportation technologies.
Statewide sanitation standards for public restrooms to ensure cleanliness and accessibility.
Preservation and conservation of state lands to curb unmanaged growth and development.
This campaign is more than a political race—it is a movement to build a Florida that is safer, smarter, cleaner, more prosperous and stronger. state to live in.
Together, we can create a state where opportunity thrives, costs are manageable, communities are secure, and every Floridian can enjoy a higher quality of life.
The future of Florida belongs to all of us. Let’s build it—together.
